Handmade Bespoke Furniture & Kitchen Specialists in the Cotswolds
The Plate Rack Co is a family-run business based in the North Cotswolds, specialising in handmade freestanding furniture since our establishment. We combine traditional carpentry techniques with locally sourced materials, offering bespoke solutions tailored to individual spaces. Our expertise lies in crafting plate racks, kitchen islands, shelving units, and larders from solid European oak and high-quality pine. Each piece is finished with Danish oil or hand-painted in Farrow & Ball colours to enhance natural wood characteristics. We provide a personal service from initial consultation to delivery, maintaining a 4-week lead time for all made-to-order items. Our workshop near Chipping Campden serves both local and international clients through our online shop and direct commissions. Customer satisfaction is prioritised through transparent communication and attention to detail, with our Facebook page showcasing ongoing projects and client feedback. Sustainability is integral to our practice, using locally sourced timber from Hillbarn Sawmills in Broadway. We maintain quality control through full-extension soft-close runners and mortise-and-tenon joints in all cabinetry. Our commitment to craftsmanship has established us as trusted providers of functional yet aesthetically pleasing kitchen furniture.
