Furniture Restoration Experts in Tavistock
I am Credicott Phil Furniture Restoration, proprietor of Credicott Phil Furniture Restoration. With over 35 years of dedicated experience in furniture restoration, my journey began with a five-year apprenticeship at Folletts of Tavistock, where I honed traditional techniques that remain the foundation of my work. My passion for preserving craftsmanship, cultivated since the age of 16, drives every project undertaken by this business. We specialise in restoring both antique and modern furniture, employing a blend of time-honoured and contemporary methods to achieve finishes that respect original designs while meeting modern expectations. Our services extend beyond furniture restoration to include bespoke curtain and blind making, reupholstery, and specialist treatments such as French polishing and veneering. The workshop in Tavistock, strategically located on the Devon-Cornwall border, serves as a hub for both local and nationwide projects. Customer satisfaction remains paramount, evidenced by the loyalty of clients who return with new commissions and recommend our services. We approach each piece with meticulous attention to detail, understanding that every item carries unique historical or sentimental value. Our commitment to quality is matched by our dedication to transparency, whether discussing project timelines, costs, or aftercare guidance. This combination of technical expertise, artisanal skill, and client-focused service has sustained our reputation for over three decades.
